Our Studio

"This is true functional fitness because it combines anatomy with biomechanics, developmental biology, breathing, posture, and the relationships with glands and organs to form a powerfully insightful perspective on human movement."

What is a CHEK Practitioner

CHEK Practitioners, short for Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology Practitioners, are highly-trained professionals who specialize in corrective exercises, functional movements, rehabilitation, holistic health, breathing mechanics, customized program designs, primal movements, and more .

We carry out extensive postural assessments to identify existing muscle imbalances and postural syndromes before customizing an exercise program. If you suffer from chronic pain or ongoing injuries, we utilize these assessments to recognize the root causes and assign the exercises that will benefit you the most to alternate your body motor engrams and mechanics. Doing so will eliminate the pain and prevent it from occurring again instead of "solely treating the symptoms".

Corrective exercise are a combination of stretching and low-intensity conditioning routines that correct human's postures after repeated executions. With our methodwe design unique workout programs that are specifically tailored to you and your needs. Our programs consist of nothing other than functional exercises that have direct, high carryover to your daily activities so that you can have maximized results while minimizing your time spent in the gym. By doing so we help you live a life free from pain and have the energy and freedom to achieve you goals.

Our Values

The 4 Doctors

What We Value

To live a healthy lifestyle, we aim to improve our 4 Doctors - Dr. Quiet, Dr. Movement, Dr. Diet, and Dr. Happiness - as well as following the 6 Foundation Principles

Dr. Quiet plays an essential role to a healthy lifestyle. It is important to give our bodies 7-8 hours of sleep every night for a full physical and psychological recovery. Ample sleep boosts our energy level as well as reducing our stress level.

Dr. Movement keeps our bodies and our mind in flow. An adequate amount of proper movements each day prevents injuries and chronic pain. Both working in (slow breathing, walk, yoga) and working out (resistance training, aerobics) activities are crucial to keep our energy levels balanced.

Dr. Happiness is about our goals, purposes, and values. These elements motivate us to learn, create, and grow every day. Our goals set helpful core values which lead us towards our desired direction and eliminate distractions in our lives.

Dr. Diet reminds us the significance of balanced nutrition which provides us with the energy we need to achieve our goals. Always remember, you are what you eat and you are what you don't eliminate.
